Busy Bees

Here photos from two days ago, almost ready to move in now. Have started to bring over boxes already and putting Ikea flat packs together. The air conditioning went on today and we have running water everywhere. Also electricity up and running around the house. So almost there. Have started to pack up the house in Metsätie now as well and planning to have our first night in the new house end of the week!

Upstairs is almost ready!

The fire place has tiles now in front of the openings and on the mantel:

Mrs B has spent last two days (the only days off work before Christmas...) scrubing and cleaning. The magic fairy came and helped with window cleaning in the form of my dear granny :-) Mr B is on site at the moment, putting together wardrobes. So we definitely are getting there. But Christmas shopping still needs to be done...

Extractor fan surrounds

Extractor fan surrounds are built now and just need the finishing touches; top part to be painted and skirtings to go around the top and bottom of the overhang. Also the splashback is tiled now.

Update

So here an update again from the build. Apologies to any followers, Mrs B has been very lazy and very busy with other things as well and been neglecting the blog... maybe a little tired at this stage as well... we won't be in for Christmas after all but the end is near so slowly getting there! Painters have been in the last few days and the first coat of paint is on upstairs and part of downstairs. Ukki the builder has been working on the extractor fan surrounds based on Mrs B's not so clear drawings of 

how it should look, and he's come up with pretty good interpretation of it :-) The underfloor heating is on everywhere downstairs and working well, also water (hot and cold) coming in. More paint to go on the walls in the next few days and then hopefully upstairs will be ready for flooring and skirtings. And we just have to decide now what colour the fire place should be painted, or leave it white???
