Electrician started his work on Friday, there'll be about 200 hours more for him...

Carport

Carport has taken shape this week, the roof is on now. Good timing as the windows and doors are scheduled to arrive next week so now we have a place to store them. Ukki's hand seems to have recovered really well and he's back working hard... 

Mrs B had a very successful visit to garden information center and came out after two hours of free consultation with a plan for the garden. This is needed for the planning permission so great to have it sorted. 

Our HVAC guy visited the site today as we needed to discuss where to place pipes and water supply etc. and now we can go ahead with getting the floor done upstairs. Also our electrician is supposed to pay us a visit on Friday so works can start on that front too. So looks like we are back in business full on again!

Back to work

Building site is slowly coming alive again, last two days have been spent on building the staircase and it's ready now. Noah & Ruben were allowed to go upstairs to have a look at their new rooms, but they were more interested in hanging out at the balcony! Mrs B swiftly got them back downstairs to safer grounds as the balcony doesn't have any railings yet... 

Ouch!

All quiet on building site, this week started with a little accident with circular saw, resulting in one broken tendon, surgery and two nights in the hospital...ouch :-( Luckily they managed to repair the tendon and Ukki's hand should fully recover. He's planning to go back to work in few days, doing "little jobs", we were unable to convince him to take a proper break...

Roof tiles arrived on site on Monday, we picked Monier's Ormax Protector dark grey. Also a big load of timber arrived this week, Mr B has more painting to do (about 1400 meters). Tomorrow we are heading to Tampere to the national housing fare. Very excited about going and have a long list of things to check out, like ideas for tiling, ceilings, utility room, kitchen, gardens etc...

Santa won't be coming down this chimney...

The pace has calmed down a little bit on site now that we are "waterproof". Mr B is only working part time on site as he gets to spend quality time with his sons while Mrs B is working. 
The decking roof, the chimney and finishing layer to the plinth are latest developments. And there's always time for ice cream :-)
